Starter-type fluorescent lamps require the electrodes to be preheated when starting. After turning on the power switch by the action of bimetal, the glow starter automatically preheats the electrode of the fluorescent lamp for a few seconds and automatically turns on the lamp. The long-life glow starter reduces bimetal impure gas and achieves a long life (number of operations).
